I visited my uncle in the hospital last night. He's been fighting cancer for the last year. He hasn't given up yet, but it's now officially terminal. There was something about the way that he enjoyed his sushi last night that just made me wish that I never felt that my life wasn't worthwhile. Makes me wish I could more easily force myself to enjoy the life I have. And sitting with him for a bit helped me just open my eyes and realize that I have wonderful people around me, both friends and family, and that life -- even when it sucks... is still LIFE. It is time, it is meant to be LIVED. Not suffered through, not depressed through, not trudged through.

I think one of my most basic new years' resolutions will be to LIVE the life I've been given.
